DESIGN CHALLENGE
Redesign the masthead for Delta Kappa Gamma San Diego’s monthly newsletter, the Rambling Rose. Use Adobe InDesign to create dynamic type, image, and message in a visually engaging and modern way that is consistent with the organization’s brand. The masthead must be compatible with formatting in Word.
SOLUTION
The new masthead brings a more clean, modern look to the newsletter. I wanted it to be more sophisticated and have a more harmonious color palette while maintaining some of the existing personality of the publication. I incorporated the rose image to reference the newsletter title and the icon of the organization. I worked with the client through multiple rounds of revision to ensure the legibility of the content and stylistic preferences.
