DESIGN CHALLENGE
Create an illustrated logo that will be used in an animation that introduces a company of your creation in a basic five-second animation for TV, YouTube, and Social Media. Include at least three moving parts and sound effects or music. Create sketches and a storyboard to plan your animation and complete it using Procreate and/or Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or After Effects.
SOLUTION
I designed a logo for a cafe called “Odi’s” with a hedgehog as its namesake and mascot. The animation features Odi walking into the frame towards the letters of the logo. Then he breaks the fourth wall and is surprised by seeing the viewer and curls into a ball. He then pops his head back out again and his round body becomes a placeholder for the “O” of “Odi’s” in the logo. I drew and animated the logo using Procreate on my iPad and added sound to the animation in After Effects.
